Implementation Methodology

With any ERP project it is vital to have clearly defined outcomes and a plan of how you will arrive at the desired outcome. We have equipped our consultants with a powerful set of tools that will ensure all the key questions are asked when developing the system blue print. Our project management is overseen and directed by an affiliate consultant who has a wealth of experience in IT project management and Business Process Mapping.

The diagram below summarizes the key phases and steps that will be followed by our consultants in the implementation of Sage products when contracted to do so.

The key steps when rolling out projects are:-

  • Project Planning

    • Set up Implementation standards and procedures
    • Complete Commercials (PO, SLA, Engagement Contract etc.)
    • Execute kick-off and agree Project Charter which includes project schedule
    • System setup and software registration
    • Install production hardware
    • Quality check: Project preparation
  • Scoping and Analysis

    • Conduct training for super-users (recommended prior to scoping exercise)
    • Define system environment
    • Gather business requirements
    • Collect configuration needs
    • Prepare issue and change log
    • Document training and testing plan
  • Design and Build

    • Validate system configuration (blueprint)
    • Validate business processes
    • Realize delta requirements
    • Conduct organizational change management
    • Plan for production support and cutover
    • Run Integration & acceptance test
    • Plan end user training
    • Quality Check: Internal review
  • Final Preparation

    • Refine cutover plans
    • Establish long term support plan
    • Train end users and administrators
    • Create & staff help desk
    • Agree system management
    • Execute cutover
    • Quality check: Final preparation
  • Go Live & Support

    • Monitor live environment and
    • Close open issues
    • Start long term support plan
